The retreat is hosted in a beautiful, historically restored guesthouse in what used to be a small castle. The rooms, house and grounds are a sense experience of artistic, tasteful beauty and simplicity, and the vegan kitchen provides gourmet fare for the inward, transformative journey of this path with Mary Magdalene.
Magdalene Retreats is now offering a retreat in Chalabre, France, a medieval village in the Southern France location where Mary Magdalene lived after the death of Christ. After being cast out to sea in a rudderless, sailless boat, she and her party, including her brother Lazarus and her sister Martha, landed at St. Marie de la Mer in France, a region of the Druids and strong in knowledge of the feminine mysteries. Here, she brought the Christian mysteries to a fertile soil, forming, with her companions, many congregations and converting most of Provence.
The retreat price includes room (price depending on private or shared rooms), full vegan board, and one day of van touring to local sites: Ren Le Chateau and the healing spring at St. Marie de Sel. Please indicate in your inquiry whether you would prefer a dorm (4 persons) for $1925, shared for (2 persons) for $2275, or a private room (1 person) for $2450, for the full week. Prices are in US dollars.

The retreat is located in a medieval village called Chalabre, in the foothills of the Mediterranean Pyrenees in the South of France.

TRANSPORT
We can assist with finding local persons to come and meet you, this is less expensive than a formal taxi or Uber, but may still be more than hiring a car, if you are staying for less than a week. Please check your options.

We have 9 guest bedrooms and 6 bathrooms in the main house here in Chalabre. A 2nd house or other accommodation can be made available if required.
The guest rooms are located on the ground and first floors of the building. All rooms and bathrooms are individually styled, and we have different levels of rooms. The rooms can be set up as double or twin, or dormitory - please refer to the descriptions for the rooms.
